The Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival is returning this year from September 1 to September 11 after a enforced break due to the pandemic. Now in its 50th year its theme is 'Jubilee Gold'. The Festival celebrates the start of Spring in Kyneton with an exciting series of activities and includes visual and performing arts, crafts, gardens, flower shows, markets and hospitality. Along with beautiful daffodils that light up the town and surrounding countryside, visitors can take in performances, a light show and literary events. The Kyneton Dog Dash delights dog lovers and everyone else with a great fun event. Many local gardens open to visitors and the Spring Flower Show presents the signature blooms of the Festival. On the first weekend of the Festival visit the Kyneton Antique Fair, this year returning again. The Daffodil Art Prize and Art Photography and arts trail of many local galleries displaying artists' work will please art lovers. The district is on display in the Grand Parade on the last day of the Festival with bands, dancers, floats, cars and vintage vehicles. After the Parade the festivities close with a fair, performances and activities in Kyneton's main streets and the grounds of the old Kyneton Primary School. All of Kyneton's legendary and award-winning culinary establishments will be ready to provide their famous hospitality.
