Over 80 years since its cold and dark premiere in a WWII concentration camp, the work’s themes of isolation, resilience, and music as a universal language, remain captivating to audiences and relevant to current world circumstances. This important work is accompanied by the world premiere of a new commission by one of Australia's most prominent and prolific performers and composers, Yorta Yorta Dja Dja Wurrung Dr Lou Bennett AM, titled nyerrnur, nyarkur – to hear, to see (to hear, to see), and Estonian composer Arvo Pärt’s meditative Spiegel Im Spiegel.
