Legendary maestro Zubin Mehta will be conducting the Australian World Orchestra in a spectacular performance of three of Richard Strauss' tone poems at Hamer Hall.
Once a year, the Australian World Orchestra brings together the finest Australian musicians from around the world to perform as an all-star ensemble under the baton of the great conductors of our time.
Strauss' tone poems are among the most striking works of the orchestral repertoire. The descriptive power of these compositions is intended to both inspire and move listeners, taking the concept of realism in music to an unprecedented level.
