Provided by:

Event runs from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM

You will start the day with an introduction to soldering, learning to control the flame and join two pieces using sterling silver solder and a blowtorch. This technique lays the foundation for the afternoon class where you will create a rub over setting for a stone. Sarah provides all the tools and equipment for this class, and you will complete one project to take home with you – creating either a ring or necklace with a stone set in it. This technique is perfect for setting sea glass, coins, pieces of pottery or polished gemstones. You will also receive a voucher for 10 per cent off the workshop kits on Sarah’s website so you have all the tools to continue your learning at home. Your booking will also include a light lunch and drink catered by Inchmeal Cafe. If you have any special dietary requirements, please email to specify. This class is for maximum six people to allow plenty of time. Juniors are welcome in this class. Please be aware that they use gas flame blow torches so you need to be confident that the participant will be comfortable and responsible with the tools. No experience is required for this class.
