About

Do you play a musical instrument at home – and want to play with other musicians?

Did you succeed in a music exam or music course some years ago and want to freshen up your skills?

Do you play in a community orchestra, but would like the chance to play in smaller groups as well?

Canberra Chamber Music Players is the group for you. We meet regularly on Saturday afternoons at the ANU School of Music and occasionally in members’ own homes.

Think of it as a musicians’ dating service. We provide the venue and organise groups based on experience and ability. You come along, play with a couple of groups, and have a good time.

If you’re lucky, you might want to continue playing with one of the groups. You swap phone numbers and email addresses, and meet and play together at times and places of your own choosing.

We invite you to attend a playing day at the School of Music on the afternoon of Saturday, 28 May. This introductory session is free. If you want to join us for future playing days and other activities, there’s an annual membership fee of $20 to ACMS, our parent organisation, plus a $10 charge for each playing day you attend.

Contact us on canberramusicians@gmail.com before 18 May for more information. You cannot attend the playing play unless you have contacted us first.
