Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) presents a building of strong foundation drawing in a one day workshop catering especially for teens. Drawing is an important skill for many branches of visual art and design. This workshop will give students the confidence and techniques that will underpin future creative and dynamic drawing. Led by experienced tutor and artist Robyn White, students will learn to loosen their mind to see like an artist, as well as practice the fundamentals of line, edges, spaces, tone and using graphite, charcoal, and ink. Learn how to scale images, get the right perspective and add tone, shading and texture to drawings. Bring your own lunch, all materials supplied. Students will be able to leave MAMA to purchase lunch if need be, with permission. Murray Art Museum Albury has five to seven exhibitions on at any given time. A visit to the museum includes a visit to MAMA Store, featuring independent Australian designers and makers from the Murray region. Canvas Eatery is located on the ground floor of the museum, and takes in the sunny aspect of the QEII Square gardens. MAMA is open seven days a week, and entry to the museum is always free.
