For 30 years Armidale St Peters Cathedral has run an Open Gardens weekend where they have had gardens to interest everyone, within Armidale and Uralla townships and surrounding area. The weekend includes plant stalls, crafts books, floral displays and great music to enjoy with morning tea or lunch. People come long distances to enjoy their cool climate gardens.
Due to the severe drought in their area this year they have had to withdraw the gardens from their weekend. Each year they support the maintenance of the St Peters Heritage Cathedral and local charities.
This year they are supporting drought relief in their Armidale Diocese, Tenterfield to Walcha, Armidale to Walgett for families, businesses and those affected by the drought.
To replace the gardens they are having a Music Spectacular and Stalls at the Cathedral.
