About

A one-day food and wine adventure through the historic village of Canowindra in the Orange wine region following in the footsteps of one of the region's most famous locals, Ben Hall and his bushranging gang. Includes a guided walking tour of the main street of Canowindra with Blind Freddy's Bushranger Tours. You'll then go to the gang's Bald Hill lookout, which is conveniently situated above Wallington Wines biodynamic vineyard. They will be pausing here for an organic wine-tasting and cheese platters while the guide regales you with stories of the bushranger gang's escapades and stage coach hold-ups near the site. A bushranging tour of the area wouldn't be the same without a stop by the Escort Rock at Eugowra which was the scene of one of the gang's most daring gold heists and Australia's most notorious crime at the time. Returning back to Canowindra you will be met by Ben Hall and Johnny Gilbert and rounded up as 'hostages' in the Royal Hotel Canowindra pub for a lively afternoon of music, craft beer, local wines and a smokin' barbecue by the Smoking Brothers. Entry Cost All tickets $130 - GST and online booking fee inclusive. A small credit card surcharge applies.
