ADFAS Lecture- August in Iran in a Headscarf

Jennifer BOWKER BVA (Hons). Jennifer has been working with textiles since receiving her Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) from ANU, Canberra. She has lived for a total of eleven years in Arab and Islamic countries. The influence of the Middle East can be seen in her lectures and subject matter. Jenny spent one month teaching in Iran for the Ministry of Education. She will speak about sewing in this fascinating and almost closed society, and the richness of patterning innate to the culture of the Persian people.
