Symphony Central Coast

Based on the Central Coast of NSW, Symphony Central Coast is a full size symphony orchestra, presenting outstanding musical programs of orchestral and choral masterworks to the Central Coast community. The power of music is one that captures hearts and minds. Classical music, in particular, has the ability to move, spark creativity and even help harness the power of productivity. The flagship activities of the SCC are the annual subscription series, comprising four concerts and featuring the best orchestral works by leading composers and performers. Artistic Director and Conductor Dr Steven Stanke and the SCC are committed to entertain and inspire though musical excellence. For many, enjoying classical music performed by an orchestra is a rare delight. That is why Symphony Central Coast is dedicated to bringing this magnificent musical experience to the Central Coast time and time again. The Orchestra is led by Dr Steven Stanke, a former Royal Australian Navy Lieutenant Commander and Director of Music for the Royal Australian Navy. Dr Stanke is a published composer, Artistic Director and Conductor. He has trained and played music across the world including in the bands of Her Majesty's Royal Marines across the UK.
