About

The display of small vintage marine engines tells the story of the early Iluka and Lower Clarence fishing industry's progress from using small boats propelled by sail or manpower (rowing) to the use of motorised boats. This followed the introduction of steam and petrol-powered engines in the early 1900s. Held at the Ilkua Museum. This event is part of the Plunge Art & Cultural Festival 2024. Clarence Valley Council is pleased to support the Plunge Arts & Culture Festival for 2024. The festival runs for the whole of April with a full program of events across the Clarence Valley.
