Learn the ukulele and find out why it’s called the instrument of joy!

The ukulele is the easiest instrument to learn and you don’t need to have any prior musical experience. In this 10-week course, Stephanie will teach you how to hold and tune the ukulele, the basic chords and simple strumming patterns - and within the first lesson you will be rocking out a song.

Anyone who has played in a band or sung in a choir knows the feeling of connection and joy that comes with participating in music. And music has many positive effects on our health and wellbeing - plus it’s a total brain work out. But most of all it’s TONS OF FUN!

The cost is $50 for 10 sessions and $25 for concession card holders, payable at the library front counter before your first session. The classes start on Thursday 7 October 2021 at 12.30pm - 1.30pm and continue for 10 consecutive weeks on Thursday's at the same time until 9 December 2021 at Coffs Harbour Library. The price includes the use of a ukulele each week and a take-home songbook.

Tickets are limited and can be booked here.

In the event of any lockdowns or closures of the library due to COVID-19 public health orders the lessons will be offered through Zoom, which will be the attendee's responsibility to access.

There will be no refunds or credits available.
