What is National BACKYARD CRICKET DAY?

National Backyard Cricket Day is a day to take time out with your family and friends, enjoy a game of cricket in your backyard, in your street, at the beach or your local park.

National Backyard Cricket Day is on Sunday 31st January 2021. However, you can play your game of cricket anytime during the month of January. The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy time with your family and friends (within a COVIDSafe environment of course).


By registering your team to participate in National Backyard Cricket Day you will be supporting libraries across regional Australia via our partnership with Friends of Libraries Australia as well as tertiary education projects in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tanzania South Africa, Afghanistan and Indonesia.
