Your Host

Ren is in her age of expansion. After a whirlwind year performing online both interstate and internationally, she won the 2020 Australian Poetry Slam. As both teacher and poet, her life's work centres in the transformative power of poetry, the importance of speaking up and the ripple effect of story. Her passions have manifested into Wordcraft, where she works with writers to overcome their blocks and complete their manuscripts while also facilitating a monthly spoken word event, workshops and many creations to come. She has recently released her chapbook, Blueprint Body, performed at the Wheeler’s Centre for Red Room’s Poetry Gala and is judging the 2022 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Poetry. Her work explores her relationship with her body, her femininity and love in all its colours.
