About

The Goulburn Duathlon is an exciting event and a favourite Winter format. It will be hitting the flat, fast streets of the beautiful Southern Tablelands city of Goulburn. Not only is it a new event and course for the athletes, but it is also a qualifying event for the Multisport World Championship being held in Townsville next year. One of the most exciting parts of the course is that it will be a really fast and flat run course, with a few challenging sections on the bike. Expect some really quick times from the athletes that will come in from across the state in an attempt to snag some qualifying points for the Australian Age Group team. The event is hosting three different distance races: - Standard distance (10km run followed by a 40km bike & a 5km run) - Sprint Distance (5km run followed by a 20km bike& a 2.5km run) - Super Sprint Distance (2.5km run followed by a 8km bike & a 1km run) The race begins and finishes at the Marsden Weir with the run following the Wollondilly river. The bike portion is in the standard distance duathlon heading out 20km towards Mummel along Range Road. The challenging sections on the bike section include a 6.7% rise before the turnaround point which is sure to get the heart rates up.
