About

Over the course of nine weeks this course will teach you the fundamentals of jewellery making. In this beginner's workshop you will learn about traditional techniques, tools, and equipment so you can make your own handcrafted jewellery. The sessions are taught by a professional jeweller who will guide you through a variety of skills and techniques such as using saw frames, files, hammers, flexible shafts and teach you how to solder and polish jewellery, and even learn the process of wax carving. As well as jewellery, you will also have the chance to make objects using techniques such as forging, chasing (repousse), and hollow-ware (cups, pots). The classes are designed for maximum of nine students so you can learn on your own pace. In these classes, you will meet like-minded people, have fun throughout the entire term and make jewellery pieces of different materials such as precious metal, gemstones, pearls, and others. You will also gain extremely valuable knowledge that is key to creating your own designs. They have enough tools for you to use for the first lessons but they encourage you to slowly purchase your basic tools for the next lessons of the term. Entry Cost All tickets $747
