The Welcome Choir

The Welcome Choir is a drop-in choir that sings together at the Casula Powerhouse. They meet on the first Sunday of the month to learn one brand new popular song each time. There is no audience, no auditions. There’s no need to be able to read music as the songs are taught by ear. They sing modern pop, soul and R and B classics that you know and love from the radio. Everyone is welcome. Just come along! They believe in the power of music to lift people up. At the start of each session, you will learn how to control your voice through vocal and breathing techniques and have plenty of fun along the way. The Welcome Choir is led by the talented and experienced Bek Jensen, a professional singer and singing teacher with many years of experience leading choirs. This September, they're shaking the room with Fireworks by the iconic Katy Perry.
