About

With dry wit, stunning harmonies, ridiculous choreography, a jar of cookies and a good helping of feminist rage, this critically acclaimed cabaret takes on musical theatre and its greatest (thinnest) leading ladies. Bigger than Broadway, wider than the West End, join cabaret stars Maeve Marsden and Libby Wood for a satirical look at musical theatre and its greatest (thinnest) leading ladies. Why can't fat people fall in love, go on a hero's journey, take center stage? Why are they always the motherly matrons or comic relief? And why when they finally have a moment to shine, do producers cast a thin woman in a fat suit? ( ahem - Hairspray) Littered with songs from musicals that feature two leading ladies, Fat Musicals takes on Chicago, Frozen, A Chorus Line, Wicked and Cats (okay, Cats doesn’t have two female leads, but there’s so much to make fun of in Cats). Due to current advice on public gatherings, please contact the host of this event to confirm it is proceeding as planned. Entry Cost All tickets $43
