NAIDOC Craft Day

This beginner pottery wheel throwing workshop is perfect for your kids if you are looking for activities that keep them busy during the school holidays in Sydney. During this four-session course, the kids will learn how to throw on the pottery wheel with the guidance of their friendly teacher all in a relaxed creative space for a fun learning experience, where all materials are provided. Every session covers a topic so the kids will follow easily the steps-by-steps to finally take home their two favourite projects. Day One Introduction to throwing: They will focus on important steps such as preparing the clay and learning how to centre the clay on the wheel. Day Two Throwing on the wheel: They will learn the three most important steps, clay preparation, centring and pulling and shaping. Day Three Pretty up the pieces by fixing uneven edges, working on the foot and base and more! After this, your kid's two favourite pieces are ready for bisque firing before they can design and paint their work. Entry Cost All tickets $110
