About

The Bungendore Harvest Festival will once again bring food, farming and feasting to Bungendore. This years festival theme is ‘Co-operative Food’ to celebrate Southern Harvest Association’s transition to a community owned co-operative. Kicking off on Friday night the Launch Dinner will be held at the new Scrumpers Kitchen run by Ruth Gaha-Morris. This produce driven meal will be paired with exceptional wines from Sapling Yard. True to the theme, speakers from several local co-ops will share the joy of collaborating through food. On Saturday Morning the Festival Market will feature heaps of stallholders. Local producers, food trucks, live music, and stalls by local artisan craftspeople will spill onto the streets of Bungendore in a celebration of all things local. There will be fresh produce, wine, sprits, coffee, teas preserves, olive oil, body products, ready to eat food and drinks, and The Bungendore show society will be running a mini pavilion display. Kids of all ages will enjoy face painting and more fun activities on the day. Winemakers Carla Rodeghiero and Malcolm Burdett will launch their latest vintage at the Sapling Yard Cellar door on Saturday. Corang Estate Wines will host a delicious cooking demonstration with Bent Shed Produce in Tarago on Sunday. There will also be Farm Tours running on Sunday, and more details about the annual Sunday Long Lunch coming soon.
