Regarding Dreams as Water Moons Exhibition

Suki and Hugh Gallery will open an exhibition of paintings by local artists Peter Jordan and Sara Freeman. The exhibition title ‘Regarding dreams as water moons’ references a poem by the Buddhist teacher Longchenpa (Tibet 1308-1364), reminding that ultimately everything is as ephemeral as a reflection of the moon in the water. The exhibition features new works in egg tempera and wax by Freeman. The artist is well-known for her detailed and mesmerising works in this medium. She has previously spoken about her art practice as a restorative process where colour is used to purge or embrace emotion and the repetitive nature of mark-making becomes meditative and soothing.
