The Sydney Fair

The Sydney Fair is returning to the Royal Randwick Racecourse this May, with over 50 of Australia's most outstanding dealers who will be exhibiting Furniture, Decorative Arts, Jewelry, Art, Prints and Posters, Books, Vintage Fashion and Couture and Luxury Vintage goods. Over four days, Australia's best 20th century, antique, art deco and vintage dealers will transform Randwick Racecourse's Kensington Room into a collector's mecca of thousands of unique and covetable items. Debutant dealers at the Fair will be marking their presence with unique pieces from their collections, including extravagant jewellery, stunning vintage furniture, unique objects from across the globe and treasured Antipodean items. This year’s Fair will also feature a unique showcase collection of stunning 1920s gowns with fashion parades, with models adorned in one of a kind flapper couture items each day. The Fair’s attending jewellery experts will also give talks on Saturday and Sunday, teaching attendees how to seek out, manage and care for priceless jewellery collections and vintage pieces. Attendees will also have the country’s foremost experts of jewellery, fine art, vintage fashions and furniture on hand to discuss their own collections and learn the tips of the trade. Leigh Capel, Director of Belle Epoque Fine Art and Antiques (formerly of Sotheby’s), will conduct art valuations on-site for those curious about the value of their own art treasures.
