About

It’s going to be a night of seriously slamming grooves when Gold Coast three-piece Super Massive launch their ultra-funky disco track ‘I Like It’ at Moshpit on Sunday 4 July, with special guests The Church of Indecision. Super Massive is the creative co-writing partnership of singer/songwriter Malina Hamilton-Smith and ex-Machine Gun Fellatio drummer/producer Glenn Abbott. The pair formed Super Massive over a shared love of vintage 70’s funk and disco, and a common vision of creating a true 50/50 blend of electronic dance and rock. Guitarist Tyr Kovacic joins them live. Super Massive’s show features catchy tunes, glam costumes and a good dose of fun. Their set is a rollercoaster ride from catchy synthpop into euphoric disco, into darker, more atmospheric, alternative songs. Super Massive have released an EP and seven singles and toured Australia and Asia. Current single 'I Like It' has a hilarious video. Church of Indecision have played together for 20 years. They produce music said to be a post punk melodically driven indie sound. IThey recently released “Satellites Falling Like Rain” on Itunes, Spotify etc. "A musical masterclass in funky disco sounds done correctly." Tone Deaf “’I Like It’ perfectly encapsulates both the Super Massive experience and the natural flair for the theatrical that both Abbott and Hamilton-Smith have.” Rolling Stone Entry Cost All tickets $12 - $22 pre-sale / $25 at the door / $12 livestream
