Marine Discovery Centre - National Recycling Week Special Event

National Recycling Week, established by Planet Ark in 1996, is held every year during the second week of November. This year, North Star will help you to get involved! They invite you to come along and join us for an evening of education on how you can make a positive impact with the 3 R’s - Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling. Their team will also run a fun DIY recycling workshop to inspire you to give otherwise wasted resources a second life. This is a great family-friendly event with something for all ages. This special event will be facilitated by Mari Bastiani, an oceanographer and marine educator who is passionate about creating positive changes to protect our precious marine environment and promoting well-being by inspiring reconnection with nature. After the presentation and workshop, you are welcome to spend some more time exploring the Centre’s showcase of state-of-the-art light and sound technology, interactive digital terminals and marine and coastal science displays.
