And create chaos with the concert grand piano… Directed by Jake Silvestro with an original score by Ania Reynolds, Tempo features an extraordinary ensemble of young performers aged between 12 and 18 who not only possess dazzling circus skills but also play instruments! Shifting between striking aerial acts and highly choreographed acrobatic chaos, Tempo draws heavily on the traditional knockabout humour of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus – a trademark of the company over many years. The Fruities started building this show by jumping in, out and on top of a big white piano that sits centre stage for this show. It has been an incredible opportunity to work with these young acrobats, to play and discover what this tailored-for-circus instrument has to offer.
