About

The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) Children’s Art Centre and Regional Services are delighted to present ‘The Castle of Tarragindi on Tour’ for children and families in regional and remote Queensland. Come along and take part in interactive multimedia activities by Australian artist Natalya Hughes.

Hughes creates paintings, textiles, sculptures and installations informed by decorative and ornamental traditions. In 'The Castle of Tarragindi on Tour', Hughes invites children to explore an imaginative design style known as 'grotesque' through fun activties. Grotesque artworks often feature hybrid forms, made from parts of different animals, plants and other shapes.
The Kids on Tour program provides this content free of charge to communities throughout Queensland.

Please note the sessions will be run daily from 10am-12pm and 1:30pm-4pm.

Suitable for all ages.

Bookings not required.
