Looking for a power packed weekend? Planes, Trains and Autos is for you! The 2024 festival program runs from 4-6 May and includes an exciting line up of events. Here's a snapshot of what you can expect throughout the May long weekend for the Planes Trains and Autos festival! Saturday 4th May: ‘Fully Charged’ at the Queensland Workshops Rail Museum Highlights: Thrilling aerial displays, interactive exhibits, up-close experiences, and roving entertainment. Special Feature: Catch a bus to the Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway to ride a diesel hauled train. Later that Evening: Park and Pose - Classic and muscle cars on display at Nicholas Street Precinct. Live music and dining options available with loads of restaurants nearby and food trucks on site. Sunday 5th May: Grandchester Model Live Steam Association Running Day: Experience the charm of a real railway station with scaled-down versions of coal-burning steam engines you can ride. Woodlands of Marburg Cars and Coffee Event: Enjoy the picturesque backdrop of the historic mansion amongst the rolling hills while admiring classic cars and socializing. Monday 6th May: Queensland Retro Picnic: Hot rods, classic cars, muscle cars, bikes, street food, and live music create a vibrant atmosphere for all to enjoy at Evan Marginson Park, Goodna. A thrilling weekend for anyone passionate about aviation, rail, autos, and more!
