This engaging afternoon concert brings together bold music-making and powerful storytelling in a program rich with contrast, character, and emotional depth—showcasing the extraordinary versatility of Ensemble Q at their finest, alongside acclaimed broadcaster and musician Ed Le Brocq.
The concert opens with Beethoven’s String Trio in C minor, a work of dramatic intensity and drive, before moving into Sonam and the Silence—a profoundly moving collaboration between Anne Cawrse and Ed Le Brocq, blending music and spoken word into a deeply human narrative.
After interval, Curly Pyjama Letters, featuring text by Michael Leunig, offers moments of warmth, wit, and gentle reflection. The program then concludes with Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet—one of chamber music’s most beloved works, radiating joy, elegance, and luminous beauty.
From intensity to joy, this is chamber music at its most vivid and compelling—brought to life by the ever-adventurous Ensemble Q.
