Art Exhibition - Town and Country - Old SchoolHouse Gallery Cleveland

Artists Junita Grosvenor, Peter Kowalenko and potter John Spencer have collaborated to create an exhibition exploring the theme 'Town & Country'. Junita Grosvenor a local Redland Bay artist takes her inspiration from the diverse natural area she lives in, which used to be a big farming region. Junita is interested in the old farming buildings and farmhouses that are fast disappearing from her rural neighborhood. By contrast, city cottages their plants and gardens also fascinate Junita and will feature in this exhibition. Junita works in different mediums, oils, acrylics and mixed media and inks being her favourites. Ormiston artist, Peter Kowalenko, specialises in landscape and still life oil paintings with a focus on Queensland. Themes range from industrial through to rural scenes. His works aim to find beauty in "ordinary" subjects." John Spencer uses the earth itself to create and shape his exquisite pottery and whimsical figurines. Exhibition opens Thursday 4 August and continues to Sunday 28 August Come and meet the artists at a morning tea on Sunday 7 August 10.00am to 12.00pm. All Welcome
