Roger Cui is one Australia’s leading pianists (Guest Principal Soloist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Principal Pianist with the Queensland Ballet), who has been described as “a pianist with not only extraordinary technique, but also poeticism in depth” (Badische Neueste Nachrichten). Piano Room is conceived and composed by award-winning composer Corrina Bonshek (best contemporary classical composition 2022 Queensland Music Awards) known for her ‘sonically attractive’ (Loudmouth 2020), ‘meditative’ music (Journal of Music 2021) reminiscent of Ludovico Einaudi and Nihls Frahm. With 20 years of composing across concert halls and festivals, Corrina Bonshek & Collaborators craft music-led works that provoke wonder at the beauty of nature, the cosmos and humanity.
