Pop Choir

Pop goes the Redlands! After the mega sell-out success of Rock Choir in 2023, Play It Forward returns to Redland Performing Arts Centre with Pop Choir! This is your chance to perform some of the greatest pop classics by the Beatles, Carpenters, Seekers, ELO, Elton John, Johnny O'Keefe, David Bowie, Whitney Houston, ABBA, Pink and many more on stage with the ‘Choir Man’ himself, Jonathon Welch AM! Pop Choir is a unique access and inclusion program that aims to engage singers of all ages and demographics from the Redlands Coast community who might not normally sing in a formalised choir setting, along with professional development opportunities for trained music teachers and conductors, to come together and prepare a concert of much-loved pop classics. This community choir project will once-again be under the direction of Play It Forward's award-winning artistic director, Jonathon Welch AM, and supported by a team of outstanding local professional musicians and arts administration practitioners. Singers will work together over nine weeks of workshops and rehearsals that will culminate in a public community performance in the RPAC Concert Hall. This will be your chance to shine on the RPAC stage as you sing your heart out en masse in front of your family and friends.
