Richmond Turf Club - Picnic Races

Get your picnic blankets and eskies ready! This laid back race meet is country racing at its best. So pack a lunch and fill the esky, head out for an enjoyable day of socializing. The Richmond Racecourse, North West Queensland, is home to many annual events on the local community calendar. Many are organised by the Richmond Turf Club, which hosts four Racing Queensland Race Meetings a year, the biggest being the June meeting that is run in conjunction with their annual event, Richmond Field Days. The formation of the Richmond Turf Club in 1956 was to promote registered race clubs in the west and to form a circuit from Mt Isa to Charters Towers.
