Primary Care All In for First Peoples’ Health – through cultural leadership and clinical excellence
This event brings together health professionals to explore how culturally responsive, evidence-informed care can help improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Through shared learning and local insight, participants will consider how practice, partnerships and service design can better support First Nations communities.
Learning objectives
- Identify current health inequalities and social determinants affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the ongoing impacts of colonisation and intergenerational trauma
- Understand how to integrate best-practice evidence and research into care delivery for First Nations people
- Describe practical steps to enhance cultural safety and responsiveness into clinical services
- Analyse and apply examples of innovative, local models of care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
