The commemorative service follows a memorial service at St James Anglican Church, Mort and Russell Streets Toowoomba. This service commences at 07.30 am on Sunday 25 August 2024. This service is supported by 25/49 RQR who parade the Battalion's Regimental Colours during the Church Service.

About

Commemorative Service at the 25th Battalion Monument in the Mothers' Memorial Park to mark the 82nd Anniversary of the Battle of Milne Bay. The service is to be conducted on 25 August 2024 from 11.00 am and is to honour the members of the 25th Militia Battalion (The Darling Downs Regiment) who fought in the Battle of Milne Bay in August/September 1942.

A Catafalque Party from 25/49 RQR will mount guard at the 25th Battalion Monument during the service. The service is supported by the Harlaxton RSL Brass Band.
