FHANQ - Open Day

I would like to invite any of your members or volunteers to attend our Open Day should they be visiting Townsville.
 

Venue: 5 Baker Street, Hermit Park

When: Saturday 8th August 2026

Time: 9am – 1pm.

About

Our Open Day is a perfect opportunity to bring family and friends to our Research Rooms and explore what the Family History Association has to offer. Family History is not just names and dates, it is the fun of how, when, where and why families did things, the family stories and the memories.


Come experience:

- A guided tour through the Library and see the resources available to all members

- Free software programs available to start your journey and how to use them effectively for members

- Opportunities to discover how DNA is used in family research.

- Find out if you have a North Queensland Pioneer ancestor.

- Interact with our volunteers on hand to help start your research and find your story.

- Advice on Australia and Worldwide resources.

- Membership specials will be available.

- Tea/coffee available and raffles
