Bowen parkrun

Parkrun is a free, weekly, timed five kilometre run or walk, which takes place every Saturday at 7am sharp at Barker Park on Horseshoe Bay Road, Bowen. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a five kilometre timed walk or run whether it's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. They want to encourage people to jog or run together irrespective of their ability - this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is free! Children and dogs are welcome to participate however must be supervised at all times.
