In this, our third year of hosting themed Long Table Lunches, enjoy a delightful afternoon of delicious food and great company at Hamlet Downs Country Accom in Fentonbury, TAS, Australia. WHAT TO EXPECT: Are You Game? Arrive at 11.30 and be greeted with a glass of Tasmanian Bubbles and a tasty crispy, crunchy amuse bouche of Wallaby and Walnut Cheese Arrancini Bite At midday you'll make your way into our North facing dining space whilst ambient music welcomes you and begin your seated DEGUSTATION EXPERIENCE with a hearty bowl of our famous Hamlet Downs Country Smallgoods Pea and Ham Soup with Sourdough Damper Croutons Enjoy Steve's farm made Duck Egg Thick Cut Pasta with Rabbit Ragu finished with our very own 2 year aged crispy Prosciutto Then enjoy Tasmanian Venison Back Strap stuffed with local cherries and pork farce and finished with a Tasmanian whisky sauce and Field Mushrooms Round it all out with the star of the show, French style Confit Duck on a bed of Celeriac, Polenta and Pink Eye Potato Mash and Pan Jus, Green Beans and crispy Sage Leaves Your puddin' sweet treat is quintessentially Autumnal, as we present to you a slice of Hamlet Downs Rhubarb, Persimmon and Blackberry Shortcrust Pie with Cream and Custard Enjoy a perfect Saturday of gourmet Autumnal feasting and frivolity.
