The Jaguar Car Club of Tasmania hosts the 2024 National Jaguar Rally, with approximately 100 cars and 200 delegates both local and interstate. The main public display day will be on Saturday 13th April, on Parliament House Lawns where you can observe the development of Jaguar motor cars, including vehicles from 1939 to 2024. An impressive line up of E-Type Jaguars, once described by Enzo Ferrari as the most beautiful car ever made, will be on show, as well as a 1947 Mark 4, a replica C-Type racing car, XK 140s, XK 150s and Mark 2 saloons, showcasing style and finishes from a bygone era. Delegates will have shopping and sightseeing time and the public display area, adjacent to Salamanca Market, gives convenient access for the public to get up close and personal with the cars and their owners. There will be opportunities to see these beautiful cars as they travel in convoy including on Sunday 14th April - either on a run to Port Arthur and return, or a smaller number testing their skills at Baskerville Raceway. On Tuesday the 16th April around 50 cars will travel to Strahan for three nights, departing Wrest Point between 7.30 and 9.00am. Viewing these iconic cars up close and seeing them touring Tasmanian roads will be a rare treat for car enthusiasts.
