About

Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play, and 2009 Olivier Award for Best Comedy. God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza is a one act black comedy.

A playground scuffle brings two sets of parents together for a cordial discussion - but civility quickly unravels in Yasmina Reza's biting comedy God of Carnage. What begins with espresso and diplomacy ends in chaos, as facades crack and tensions explode. Directed by Ruby Abbott in her full-length directorial debut, this sharp, fast-paced satire takes a hilariously uncomfortable look at modern parenting, social pretence, and the thin line between order and anarchy.

Directed by Ruby Abbott.

Presented by Ballarat National Theatre in partnership with the Ballaarat Mechanics Institute.
