About

The iconic San Remo Channel Challenge is Victoria’s Premier Aquathon event hosted by the Woolamai Beach SLSC. The swim/run is the highlight of a huge community event and is a major fundraiser for Woolamai Beach SLSC. All proceeds support volunteer lifesaving patrols at Woolamai Beach and Smiths Beach in the summer months. The race begins on San Remo foreshore south of the pier for a 550m swim across the channel to Newhaven on Phillip Island at ebb tide. Don your shoes at the change station for a 2km run back over the bridge and up the road toward Anderson for a bit before turning back into town to finish in front of San Remo Hotel Motel. Register online by 6pm the night before, or at race centre at San Remo Hotel Motel 5.30-8.30pm the night before (and pick up your race kit). Online entrants may pick up their race kit at the pub the night before, or on the day before 10am.
