After two topsy turvy years, we are immensely proud to mark the return of extraordinary arts experiences through curating and presenting Geelong Arts Centre: Our Season 2022, supported by Major Artistic Partner, Deakin University. Big enough to attract the world’s best talent, but small enough to remain friendly and local, Geelong Arts Centre is proud to support emerging local talent and host revered touring artists and extraordinary experiences. We couldn’t be more excited to safely welcome you back to your arts centre and invite you to become engrossed in storytelling across a range of artforms, from the honesty of theatre and lyrical dance to mesmerising circus and immersive arts experiences. Featuring 11 vital stories that you won’t want to miss, Our Season 2022 showcases the voices of those who have overcome hardship, broken down barriers and fought for their place upon the world stage. From celebrating the experiences of strong and diverse women and highlighting the unique perspectives of the First Nations Community, to shining a spotlight on those who strive to embrace their identities in the face of fear and adversity.
