[REMOVED] Book launch, The Desert Knows Her Name

Come along and celebrate the launch of the latest novel by award-winning author Lia Hills, The Desert Knows Her Name. Set and researched in the Wimmera, The Desert Knows Her Name is the story of a girl who walks out of a Wimmera desert, barefoot and unable to speak. The arrival of the mysterious ‘desert girl’ unsettles the community and old tensions erupt, leading to the revelation of a terrible crime. Lia will talk about her experiences researching and writing her novel, rich with detail of the land, flora and fauna of the Wimmera, and its layered histories. Finger food and tea/coffee will be served, and books will be available for purchase at the venue from Redrock Books. All are welcome. This is a free event, but bookings are essential.
