View from here: Highlights from the National Gallery collection

The iconic mountain ranges of western Victoria, including Mt Arapiles, have served as creative stimulus for countless artists. The exhibition View from here: Highlights from the National Gallery collection will see key paintings, works on paper, artist's books and even furniture, by artists such as Eugene von Guerard, Nicholas Chevalier, Thomas Clark, Arthur Streeton, Sidney Nolan, Arthur Boyd and John Olsen return to the landscape that inspired them. This exhibition is on long-term loan from the National Gallery of Australia with support from the Australian Government as part of Sharing the National Collection.
