It has been three years since the last race of the Vic Series Cyclocross was held at Lake Sambell in Beechworth. Well, it’s back with a double header. Round 6: Saturday 13 August Round 7: Sunday 14 August The natural amphitheatre between the Caravan Park and Lake Sambell provides the arena for exciting cyclocross racing with the open landscape enabling full views of the course for spectating from just about anywhere. Coffee, food and beer (Bridge Road Brewers of course!) will be available on-site. You can stay on-site at the Lake Sambell Caravan Park on powered or unpowered sites or in one of their warm, cozy cabins. Imagine stepping off your bike straight into a hot shower, clean clothes and heading over to the food and beer tent to watch your buddies in the next race. Categories for CX bikes are A, B and C Grades for both women and men. There is an open category for anyone wanting to have a go at cross racing but doesn’t have the right hardware. There will be the kid's race for the mini-shredders on balance bikes and up to 24” wheelers. So shake off those wintery post-pandemic blues, dust off your trusty nobbly-tyred steed and come join them in Beechworth for a weekend of fun cyclocross racing and happy times.
