Feel the vibes as you come out of the closet and into the sun for an all-day and all-night party to celebrate the beginning of another fabulous festival. Midsumma Festival are bringing back your favourites (yes and the dog show) and adding a pinch of lip-syncing, drag dazzling, stellar acts, fine food and a pop-up bar. If you didn't get through the array of stalls last year then make sure you arrive at 11:00am as the glitter begins to stir. There is more on offer than ever before. Peek at the program with bite sized performances, relax in the chill-out zone, meet friends in the family domain, tackle the sports precinct and stay cool in the under 18s area. See all of the special events that lead you into the evening of T-Dance, featuring a fantastic line-up of sassy sounds and DJs. With safe spaces for families, friendlies, queer kinds and groupies you know there will be something to suit everyone. Midsumma Carnival is a glass-free event and is conscious of their footprint on the environment. So bring your sustainable vessels and paper straws, slap on the sunscreen for a full day of festivities, then shimmy on into the night.
