Moonlight Cinema is back, bringing the nostalgia of picnics, popcorn and film-watching amongst Australia’s most idyllic inner-city parklands. The original cinema under the stars will return to Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne from 2nd December 2021 - 27 March 2022. The December program includes new releases, family favourites, retro hits, Hollywood blockbusters you might have missed in COVID and Christmas classics. Under balmy summer night skies, Moonlight Cinemas will come to life with on-site activations, food trucks, bars and the comfiest of bean beds. This summer, there are a range of exclusive packages on offer including the Tia Maria Platinum Experience, AAMI Gold Grass or the Connoisseur Lounge. Also new this season, Moonlight will launch Parlour Lane Fiesta, a Mexican-inspired food truck. As a BYO venue, guests can also prepare their own picnics, bring along refreshments and enjoy one of Australia’s quintessential summer experiences. Renowned as a beloved dog-friendly night out, you can even book the furriest member of your family a plush dog bean bed thanks to Moonlight’s dog partner, K9 Natural, who will also have the hungry fur-babies covered for movie snacks. This season, Moonlight's Green Partner, Garnier will ensure that the only thing left behind will be the memories of film-watching, with the energy emitted from all screenings across the season will be carbon offset through ecologically sensitive planting.
