About

Come see one of Australia's top world-funk fusion bands as they tour their debut album 'Ajar'. Chutney is a hot and spicy mix of ingredients, bound by the warm, sugary embrace of klezmer - the folk music of Jewish Eastern Europe. A Chutney show will traverse folk, funk, reggae, disco, Latin, jazz, swing and pop, and will take you on a tour through Russia, Romania, Israel, Egypt, Brazil and the USA. From funked up takes on traditional dance tunes to Dixieland jazz, from Cirque du Soleil to Mozart, from Star Wars to dub - there's something for everyone! About Chutney: Chutney has played extensively in Sydney, including at the Sydney Opera House, Foundry 616 and multiple sold-out shows at Camelot Lounge. They made their Sydney Festival debut in 2022, and headlined the Limmud Oz Festival for four consecutive years. The band has played in Melbourne and Brisbane, and has toured regional NSW twice to sold-out crowds in towns including Newcastle, Taree and Lithgow. Chutney has been broadcast and interviewed on ABC Radio Sydney, Eastside Radio Sydney and 4ZZZ Brisbane, among others. Chutney has also collaborated with Lior (ARIA winning singer songwriter) and Ilan Kidron (APRA Award winning, multi platinum certified lead singer of The Potbelleez). Chutney members have appeared alongside Elton John, Janet Jackson, Jimmy Barnes, Celine Dion, Diana Ross and Human Nature. Entry Cost All tickets $25
