Queer PHOTO - The New Pre-Raphelites

In partnership with Autograph UK, Wyndham Art Gallery presents a solo exhibition by Sunil Gupta, a British/Canadian citizen living in London. The New Pre-Raphaelites, a series of 10 works portraying individuals and families affected by Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which criminalised homosexuality. This law, instituted by the British in 1861 and not overturned until 2018, led to the arbitrary arrest and exploitation of LGBTQ+ Indians.
