About

Wander outback to the Under Gascoyne Skies Festival this August. Spend your days exploring the rugged, natural beauty of the Upper Gascoyne. At night, dine under star-filled skies enjoying the best produce grown locally in the Gascoyne region. The Upper Gascoyne is home to the world's largest rock Mt Augustus, the ancient landscape of Kennedy Range National Park and the 2023 Keep Australia Beautiful National Tidy Town Gascoyne Junction. The Under Gascoyne Skies festival begins with a fine dining experience 'Flavours of the Gascoyne' at the Gascoyne Junction Pub and Tourist Park. Internationally trained Chef Omo will present a three-course menu showcasing local Gascoyne produce. Then prepare to camp under the stars with Wooramulla Eco Cultural Journeys at Kennedy Range National Park sampling a menu with an indigenous twist. Turn your gaze to the night sky to learn about the stars through both a European and Indigenous lens before sitting around the campfire to hear Yinggarda dreamtime stories. The Festival concludes with the World's Largest Barbeque at the world's largest rock - Mt Augustus. The team at Mount Augustus Tourist Park will extend their finest outback hospitality as you dine under the stars on a working pastoral station with Mount Augustus as your backdrop. Enjoy local beef fresh from the 'big' grill with local seafood and produce at this barbeque to remember.
